Drew Barrymore got so nervous portraying an historic figure in her upcoming film Grey Gardens she couldn’t eat.
The actress – who plays Edith Bouvier Beale in the movie adaptation of the Grey Gardens documentary – says she lost so much weight during her time as the American socialite, the director ordered her to start munching on chocolate.
Drew explains, “I lost a lot of weight because I was so nervous I couldn’t eat, and I lost like 10 pounds.
“I try to lose 10 pounds and I can’t. Ironically, he needed me to gain 10 pounds and I could not get food down my throat. I was so uptight and freaked out all the time.”
Drew Barrymore, who is a co-producer and stars in a romantic comedy ‘He’s Just Not That into You’ alongside Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston and Scarlett Johansson, split from boyfriend Justin Long early last year and says “it’s great” being single, according to E! Online.
“I’ve been single for eight months. I’m not in the wrong relationship and it’s great,” she announces, throwing her hands in the air.
The film ‘He’s Just Not That into You’ will be out February 6.
The Hollywood dating scene loves Drew Barrymore, but for the past several months the actress has taken herself off the circuit, voluntarily.
The star hasn’t dated anyone (in a serious sense, at least) since breaking up with ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ co-star Justin Long sometime last summer. “I’ve been single for eight months,” she tells E! News. “I’m not in the wrong relationship and it’s great!”
Word of the Barrymore-Long bust-up came down the pike in early July (less than 7 months ago), so either her math is wrong, or her publicist deserves a cookie for keeping the news so hush-hush. Read the rest of this entry »

The ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ star is only interested in dating her perfect man and refuses to waste her time on unsuitable lovers.
She is quoted as saying: “I believe there are no rules. I think, at a certain point something clicks, and you’re just not willing to accept or give less than what your heart desires or less than what you deserve.”
Drew – who split from actor Justin Long last July – has previously revealed she won’t let her life be ruled by a man. Read the rest of this entry »

Barrymore Talks He’s Just Not That Into You
“I love all of them,” Barrymore said. “That’s what’s so great about an ensemble. Like I was watching The Big Chill the other night, and you’re just fascinated with everyone’s storyline. It’s so good snd it’s such an amazing honor to be in a film with all of these people. To get a group like this together, it’s rare and extraordinary.” Read the rest of this entry »
Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore and Scarlett Johansson are three of the lovely ladies in next week’s “He’s Just Not That Into You,” a film that breaks down the do’s and don’ts of romance and takes a look at the dating scene from a modern perspective.
MTV News had the chance to sit and talk with the actresses about their own, often-public relationships and how their own dating plays out in multimedia culture.
Though Barrymore and Johansson both agreed that even bad relationships are learning experiences, Aniston knew exactly what she’d say if she could go back in time and give herself some dating advice.
